Leila Ashton's portraits are currently held in numerous collections throughout the nation. A prize-winner and frequent finalist in national and international juried exhibitions, she was recently a finalist in the Portrait Society of America's 'Members Only Competition', placing in the top ten of over 250 entries. Mrs. Ashton has studied with some of today's finest portrait artists. For several years, a full-time artist, her work is in demand for its accuracy and sensitivity.

Sandra Anderson earned a BFA from the University of California at Fullerton and works directly from life painting portraits, figures and landscapes in the plein air tradition. A versatile artist, Anderson paints in oils and pastels. She has served as a contractor to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and has organized and participated in plein air events across the country. Sandra is a member of the Plein Air Painters of Georgia and exhibits regularly across the Southeast. A resident of Marietta, Anderson is represented by several galleries and her work is awarded and collected nationally.

Elizabeth Bame graduated from Andrews University, in Berrien Springs, MI with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 1989. She studied with internationally trained artist Chris di Domizio for over eight years, as well as taking several workshops. Her work has been widely exhibited, and has won a numerous awards including acceptance into the Red Cinder Artist-in-Residence program in 2003.

Keith Barnett is a graduate of Georgia State University. He is an award winning artist that has been creating and displaying his art for over 15 years. Originally trained as an oil painter, he developed a sever allergy to oils; and has since, developed a portfolio in other mediums including acrylics, color pencils, watercolor, and paper collage. His interests are diverse in subject matter, but his passion lies in the classics of portraiture, landscapes, and still-lifes.

A native of Atlanta; married since 1970; two adult children; Tim painted his first oil in
1962, but began in earnest in the 1990s. Virtually self-taught, he began working with a local artist, Gregory Johnson, in 1999. He is currently studying with Jim Schell and Marc Chatov. His favorite and most challenging works are portraits but enjoys still life, landscapes, and anything else that catches his eye.

Carole Chalmers majored in Fine Art at Converse College in SC. She attended the Atlanta College of Art and the Art Students League. She is listed in Who's Who of American Women. She is a founding member of the Portrait Society of America and is an active member in other professional organizations. Carole lives in Bogart, Georgia where she works and teaches in her home studio. Some of her notable instructors are Robert Brackman, Burton Silverman, Everette Raymond Kinstler, and Nelson Shanks.

Working in watercolor, oil and acrylic, Dede has exhibited in juried shows in Colorado and Georgia.

Jennifer, a native of Savannah, Georgia, has been featured in magazines worldwide. Renown for artwork and design for rugs, textiles and home furnishing accessories, she received several prestigious awards including the Roscoe award, the design industry’s Oscar. Jennifer was "Stylemaker 1994" AJC and included in the DIFFA Design for Neiman Marcus.

A graduate of the University of Georgia and Parsons School of Design, NYC, Jennifer has studied with many professionals including Scott Burdick, Rosetta Santiago, David Leffel and Jim Schell. Her paintings are in many prominent collections in the United States, Europe and South and Central America.

Carol Kelly Dorn is an award-winning artist who received her art degree from Georgia Southern University. She is interested in all forms of art & has been painting & drawing portraits in various media for over 20 years. In 2004, she experienced the rare opportunity to spend 3 weeks at the Musee du Louvre in Paris to recreate a copy of an Old Master's painting on site. The Art from the Heart Project is particularly close to Carol's own heart, since her father, Major Charles Kelly, a Dustoff medivac helicopter pilot, was killed in Vietnam as he attempted, under fire, to rescue wounded soldiers. She resides in Evans, Georgia.

Tom Dorsey's formal background includes earning a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1973 while working for Moffitt Studio as a pre-computer photographic altering portrait artist for 5 years. He retired in 2003 after operating his own camera portrait studio in both Chicago and Atlanta for 32 years before returning to portrait painting. After a "life's purpose awakening," he is using his time and talents to benefit children.

Anna Gillon practiced architecture in Atlanta for 15 years before shifting focus to the study of fine art as well as to raise her twin boys. She has primarily studied with Chris DiDomizio for over 4 years and enjoys drawing and painting in pastel, oil and watercolor. Anna has received numerous commissions of children, adults and pets. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Architecture and is a member of the Portrait Society of Atlanta.

Atlanta native Lisa Gleim-Jonas is an award winning artist and a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. She is a highly sought after portrait artist for both her children and pet portraits. Aside from portraiture, she is also an accomplished landscape painter. Both can be found in private collections throughout the east coast, including Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, the chambers of the honorable vice-chancelor Jack B. Jacobs and Astra-Zeneca Pharmaceutical Company.

Born in New York, Pat Aubé Gray lived in Maine, Texas, and Florida working in fine and commercial art as well as corporate business. In 1998 she moved to Blairsville, Georgia and resumed painting full-time. Self-taught, Pat Aubé Gray paints realistic still lifes, landscapes, figurative and portraits in several media. Recently, she has attended workshops with several highly regarded artists. The winner of many prestigious awards her paintings are in U.S. and European collections.

Larry Hall of Atlanta served in combat in Vietnam as an Army Captain and was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service against hostile forces. Larry volunteers for a number of non-profit organizations, including Studio Incamminati, realist studio in Philadelphia, and has served on the board or as an officer of several others. Artists with whom Larry has worked include Nelson Shanks, Burt Silverman, Albert Handell, Tony Ryder and Anne Emerson Hall.

Larry is a Charter Member and an Advisor for the Atlanta Fine Arts League.

Terrell Herbert, a native of Edgard, Louisiana attended Colorado Institute of Art in Denver, Colorado where he studied commercial arts. Wendy Jackson majored in painting at the University of Nebraska at Omaha graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.F.A. degree followed by an M.S. She has taught art at all levels at both private and public schools in Omaha, Fort Lauderdale, and Atlanta. Wendy’s favorite media are graphite, watercolor, and oil. She has completed numerous portraits, figurative works, and botanical art. In 2005 she painted a turtle sculpture titled “BottiSHELLi” for the Town Turtles of Sandy Springs.

Joan Leininger came back to painting in her fifties. Portraits are the center of her work. Since 1997 she has won numerous awards and among them, The Top Ten of Tennessee 2006 on-line competition of the Portrait Society of America as well as Third Place and Peoples Choice Awards in the Fall 2004 Juried Exhibition of the Portrait Society of Atlanta. Painting at least six hours every day, she believes, "retirement is not an option".

An Atlanta resident, Cindi began painting for therapy following an injury in 2000.  Travels to France and Italy as well as her beloved St. Simons provide inspiration for capturing the beauty of God’s creatures and His creation.  Her classic realism style includes outdoor studies, still lifes and portraiture, both human and canine.  Cindi has studied with Chris DiDomizio, Marc Chatov, Jim Schell, Armand Cabrera and many Plein Air Painters of the Southeast.  She is a member of  The Atlanta Portrait Society,  Abernathy Art Center,  Glynn Art Association, Atlanta Fine Arts League, and Brushstrokes.

Kathleen Ryan started oil painting at age 11. She later graduated from the State University of New York with her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with Cum Laude Honors. Though she paints landscapes and still-life, her passion is with portraits. She is an award-winning oil painter who often takes first place, best of show, and people's choice. Her commissioned works can be found all over North America. She has completed portraits of families as well as professionals. One of her most cherished experiences was in donating portraits to the families of fallen soldiers as a member of the Fine Arts League. of a retired Army Colonel of 27 years of active duty. She has been painting
portraits, landscapes and animals for 30 years and says "I learn more with each
piece of artwork." She works in both watercolors and acrylic and her passion is custom portraits. She became involved in this project after reading about it in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
