Eleanor "Bootsie" Callaham

Eleanor "Bootsie" Callaham is a native Atlantan who has been painting for over thirty years, studying with local Atlanta teachers while raising her family.

In 1997, she began study in Chris DiDomizio's Old WorldArt Studio, learning the techniques of the Old Masters and copying them. There she realized her love for portraiture and continues to develop her skills with outstanding Atlanta portrait artist, James B. Schell.

Eleanor is active in the arts community. She is a member of the Portrait Society of America, the Atlanta Artists Center, and the Atlanta Fine Arts League. She has been a finalist in local, regional and national juried exhibitions and her work is found in many private collections.

Eleanor's joy is in painting realistic portraits, conveying the personality and mood of the subject. She says, "I love the unique qualities of every human face and enjoy painting people of all ages." It is also a pleasure for her to paint pet portraits.
